Positive Energy and Conergy cooperate to provide a turn-key solution for the largest Photovoltaic Park in Greece
Energiaki Vogiatzis S.A. has awarded the contract for the supply of equipment, project design, construction and set in operation of the largest photovoltaic park in Greece, to the EPC Contractor Positive Energy and to the Greek subsidiary of the German multinational Conergy. This 4,994.88 kWp project constitutes one of the most substantial investments in the photovoltaic sector for the Balkan region and is at the moment, the largest PV park in Greece. The photovoltaic park will be built in an area of approximately 200,000 square meters in Northern Greece, in the region of Drama. The park will consist of Conergy PowerPlus photovoltaic panels and Conergy CIS 540 S type central inverters. The project will commence in June 2010 and is expected to be finalised and commissioned before the end of the year. The operation of the plant will have substantial environmental benefits reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 7,000 tons per year, equivalent to the capacity of a 350,000 trees-forest.
The Bank of Cyprus is the chief lender of this project and in doing so, demonstrates its continuing support for green investments.

Positive Energy had the great pleasure and honor to support the 24th Congress which was organized by the Local Committee of EESTEC in Athens. The Conference (21 - 28 of March 2010) was a great success and gave the opportunity to young people who participated, to exchange views, create new contacts, receive information about other countries educational systems as well as discuss about the substantial issues that concern them.

Athens, 27th of April 2010. Positive Energy participated to the exhibition «ECOTEC – Environmental technologies & Photovoltaic systems», which was held on 22-25 of April, 2010 at the exhibition centre EXPO ATHENS.
Positive Energy with an impressive exhibition presence similar to its size and its credibility was present in the largest environmental technology exhibition in the Balkans. During the event, Positive Energy had the opportunity to present its wide range of projects and services to more than 5.000 potential investors that visited its stand.

An event organised by the Greek Association of Imperial College
The event organized by the Alumni Association of Imperial College Business School in King George Hotel and sponsored by Positive Energy was held with great success. It was an attempt to present the alternatives that Greek businesses have in difficult times like the ones experiencing now, as well as the existing opportunities for developing new business initiatives. Representatives of all major business sectors, representatives from the Young Leaders association as well as politicians attended the event.
The event involved professors and specialists from the business environment. Main speakers were Dr. Bart Clarysse, Professor of Entrepreneurship in the MBA program of Imperial College, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Member of Southwest and former CEO of the National Venture, Mr. Yannis Papadopoulos, Chief Director of Attika Ventures and Mr Dionysis Alyssandratos, CEO of Vectis Capital.
Mr. Mitsotakis made special reference to the urgent need of the exploitation of renewable energy resources in Greece. Greece has RES in abundance and can easily use this as a strategy for strengthening the economic development. Speeches of other panel members reported the ways new business plans have to be drawn. Special reference was made regarding the need for funding new research programs for developing innovation as well as to the need for consolidations in order to achieve economies of scale. In addition, investments in new technologies along with entrepreneur’s involvement in promising branches of economic activity were also discussed.

The French Multinational Group Voltalia enters dynamically
